Twilight Inspired Mini-Album~Scrapalicious USA Design Team

Hello and welcome back to Scrapalicious USA Design Team Wednesdays!  We have been on hiatus for quite a few months, but after some careful planning and reorganizing, we are back with a brand new team and fresh ideas to inspire you.  The first challenge for 2012, is an "Anything Goes" theme.  We hope you will hop on over to the Design Team blog and join us.  We love your support!

I was in one of those "Twilight" moods and decided to build this cool album as a way of giving that mood an outlet.  Yes, I am admittedly too old to care about those darn books...but, alas...I do care.  I love them!  I have read them all a few times.  I like the movies too...but, I LOVE the books.  I am going to use this album for photos of the beaches and the forests around the area that I grew up in the Pacific Northwest.  I thought the theme was somewhat appropriate.
The album pattern was created by Laura from "Following the Paper Trail"
This rose was created using the Spellbinders Rose Creations Dies.  I have a video tutorial on how to make these by following this LINK or check out the flower tutorials link at the top of the page.

The album contains 6 pages that have 30 total pockets!  There is plenty of room for journaling and each tag is matted  with coordinating paper for photos

I hope this inspires you to create something and share it with us over at our Design Team Blog.  We will be giving away a gift certificate to the Scrapalicious USA store!

Family Vacation Layout & a Challenge

I showcased my Gratitude Journal back in November and had some photos left over that I had printed out in those wonderful sepia tones.  I would be proud as punch (why is punch proud anyway?) if you took a look back at that.  But I digress...This was one of a few photos that I particularly loved because it shows my parents who are in this photo younger than I am now, and I am only a teenager.  My sister and brother are barely past the baby stage, and well...it makes me feel all mushy inside because I remember it all so clearly...yet...it's so long ago.  *sigh...

Today I am showcasing some fantastic supplies I used from 2 of my favorite online Scrap supply stores.  The paper is the very fun Bo Bunny Et-Cetra line.  Scrapalicious USA has these papers along with all the coordinating sticker sheets and chipboard elements that go along with the set.  The beautiful Websters Pages Lace I acquired from Paper Patch Crafts.  The vintage look and colors I think matched the layout perfectly.  I popped on a couple Prima flowers, some buttons and a little machine stitching to finish it up.

Paper Patch Crafts is having a challenge now through midnight tonight using this layout.  Only requirements is a little hand or machine stitching and buttons. Join us!!

Mythological-ly Speaking

Wow, I was floored when I received these images to work with over at Copic Marker Scrapbooking.  Actually, I guess you could say I was more in awe....never having tried my hand at anything like this before!  But, knowing my love of all situations where I get to play with my copic markers...I was up for the challenge. Tell me what you think....

A Plethora of Mini-Albums!

I have been very busy despite not sharing anything new here in awhile!  Today I finished up 11...count 'em; 11 mini albums for friends at work.  It took pretty much every evening after work (staying up a little later than I usually do) plus 2 full weekends to get them made.  But, I promised to have them ready before Valentines Day...and I made it!  This post is very heavy with photos...so I hope this page won't take too long to load.  The albums are made with mini paper sacks and include 6 pages and 18 total pockets total. Each pocket contains a tag and a mat for a photo.  The mini tag can be used for journaling or maybe even a coupon for that special someone!  Here goes:
The little rose is one I made.  You can see how in my tutorials link

More handmade flowers!

This was a special request from a friends whose son loves sports.  Mini -albums can be very versatile!

Pyramage is a fun form of decoupage.  Layering the same image over and over again to achieve depth.
