Today I wanted to showcase a new stamp set along with it's coordinating die set. Bike Ride and the Build a Bike Framelits came out in our new annual catalog and when I first saw them I thought they were so cute. I immediately wanted them, but then, I backed up and asked myself if I really wanted to cut all those little pieces, and would it just be tedious work for me. So, I didn't order them right away. But each time I looked at the catalog they caught my eye and I knew I needed to buy them. I finally took the opportunity over the weekend to play with them a little bit and I noticed a couple things: Yes, there were lots of many different pieces, but, they made me so happy to watch those pieces come together. It's super fun to build a bike!!
When I put these cards together, I decided to build a background with the texture paste that is also new this year. The paste is white, which means we can add some of the ink to it and make it any color we like. I added some soft sky ink to mine and mixed it around with a small spatula on my Silicone Craft Sheet. Then I layered the clouds from the Pattern Party Decorative Mask set over the white card stock. It was super simple to come up with these fun textured clouds! I love the dimension and variation in the way the layers pop up off this cloud! It's so fun!
I made two variations with this set, staying within the color family used within the designer series paper Delightful Daisy. I really love the way Calypso Coral, Pool Party and the new Tranquil Tide look together.
And here is a better look at the 2nd card. The stamp set and matching die set have other variables such as, a cute dog, a butterfly, and a bouquet of flowers, and all of them can be used in different ways. Such as, on this example I added the cute bunting to the side of the bike. Additionally, the stamp set is designed for 2-3 step stamping. For example, the flowers in the basket are 2 stamps layered together, as well as the wheels on the bicycle. Did I mention this was a fun set?
I wanted to add that the sentiment on this card was not included in this set, but came from the Tabs for Everything stamp set, which I will be sharing in an upcoming blog entry. Just a little sneak peek: The sentiment isn't one stamp, but two separate stamps that I put together because I thought the idea was adorable.
This and all kinds of fun and adventure await you in our catalog of supplies. All can be purchased now with Stamping' Up! I will provide a link to all these products below and you can also follow the links at the top of my page to browse our Annual Catalog.
