Sale-A-Bration 2018

Sale-a-Bration is off on a roll for the new year and I thought I would share with you a nice card I made using stamps sets and dies that were FREE.  Yes, that's right!

Here is how it works.  For every $50 purchase now through March 31st, from the annual catalog or the Occasions catalog, you can choose a free item from the SALE-A-BRATION catalog.  Yes!  Isn't that fun?  But, that's not all.  For those of you that love your Big Shot and cutting out dies, they also are offering a FREE die set with any $100 purchase.  This is an awesome deal!!

The card I am sharing today was made with Amazing You stamp set and also the Celebrate You thinlet dies.  And they were FREE!!  I really like how it turned out!

The blue background was made with the new Brusho Crystal Colors.  Here is how it was done.  I used the shimmery white paper, because I think it has a nice sheen, plus it seems to be pretty substantial when I get it wet.  I used my spritzer and saturated my square of paper pretty good and then sprinkled a little of the Brush crystals on top and let the magic happen.  I have learned that you have to be a little patient with the colors and let them do their thing.  I then heat blasted it a bit to get the dry time handled.  Each time you do this, you get a new and unique result.

The flower was colored with the new Stampin' Blends markers.  For those of you that have followed my blog in years past and remember the Copics tutorials I did, these are alcohol markers like those.  And they are fantastic because they coordinate with Stampin' Up papers and inks.  It's pretty fantastic!

The paper used as the background is the new Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper.  This paper is so beautiful with lots of foils.  I opted to use the backside of the foiled paper, because I liked the color of the Calypso Coral, so as you can see, even the back of the paper is beautiful!

If you would be interested in getting your hands on a few catalogs from me, I am happy to send one out to you, or if you are local, I can hand deliver.  Just shoot me an email!

More Design Team Entries

Yesterday I shared one of the cards I made as an entry for the Pink Stamper Design Team.  Here is card #2.  This stamp set is in our new Occasions catalog and it is perfect for your Valentine's Day cards and treats.  It has a coordinating die set that even cuts out an adorable Valentine's conversation type box.  I will have to share that one with you on an upcoming blog post.  I decided to make this card a shaker card, using our acetate window sheets and the fun gold sequin flakes also available in the Occasions catalog.  I will share a link to all these products below.

Her is a close up of the fun sequins behind their little clear window.

I am going to share this card in an upcoming swap event I am going to participate in next month.  What do you think?

Pink Stamper 2018 Design Team

I received quite an honor yesterday!  I was chosen to be on the Pink Stamper Design Team for the next 6 months.  Pink Stampers is the team I joined when I became a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! 2.5 years ago.  Our leader, Robyn Cardon, was the #1 in sales for the whole company this past November at Onstage on Salt Lake City.  If you were to join my team, you would be included in this fantastic group as well, and it IS a fantastic and fun group of stampers to be a part of.

Right now is an excellent time to join too because we are celebrating Sale-A-Bration, which means, when you sign up for only $99, you get to chose $125 worth of product and in addition to that, you also get to chose 2 FREE stamp sets.  All your choice.  Minimums are easy to meet, so even if you are only in it to get a discount for yourself, it's super doable!  The benefits are fantastic.  Please reach out to me and I can tell you more about it.  Or, join here, and get started today.

But, for now, I thought I would share with you one of the creations I used as my submission for the design team.

This exciting technique was used with the new Brush Crystal Color watercolor ink.  These ARE AWESOME.  You receive a set of 5 colors, you sprinkle them onto dampened paper and the inks spread and make very interesting effects like the one below.  If you are interested in seeing them in action, I will make a small video demonstration.  Please leave a comment below.  I also used one of the hostess stamp sets from our current annual catalog, Background Bits.  The ink color and card stock used is Always Artichoke.

Please come back tomorrow and I will share another item I submitted to be on the Pink Stamper Design Team.
